Episode 13: Nightlife with Dallas

As many of you may know, I am fortunate enough to be blesse with such amazing friends. One of these friends happens to be an amazing, FEMALE, radio DJ on one of my favorite college stations, KSYM! She plays the best soul, R&B, and all around feel good funk! The Nightlife gets me through my monday nights whether its been a long day at work, or about to have a long night on the town, Dallas really knows how to set the mood! I had the pleasure to accompany Dallas in the studio during her Whitney Houston tribute and I must say, after watching the way she works... I know why her show is so successful. Dallas is very intellegent and knows her music very weel. Diverse in both style and taste, she makes this show enjoyable for all! One thing I know for sure, my Monday nights are complete with the Nightlife!

Episode 11: Animated Lullaby

New Year, New Rabbit, New twist on the Rundown. In this episode I will do things a little different. Instead of interviewing a person, I will give you an in depth look at one of my favorite images, "Animated Lullaby."

Recently I had a contest where I asked my social network community to send some feedback my way by selecting two images the preferred to see on hair clips I was designing. The response rate was incredible!!! Big Thank You to EVERYONE that participated!!!! I really appreciate it!! ONE person won a FREE PRINT of "Animate Lullaby" and that is also announced in this episode.

Thank you again for sticking with me, spreading the blog, but most of all.. thanks for spreading the love! leave feedback in the comment section or message me on your favorite social networking site! Hope you all enjoy! :)

Episode 10: David Mack, creator of Kabuki

This past summer I took a road trip out to San Diego with my best friend for an event called Tr!ckster. This is where I met one of the most inspiring people to date, David Mack! He is filled with so much positive energy and uplifting words, yet I was still in shock when Mr. Mack himself said one of his favorite passions is writing! Now, if you have not had a chance to pick up a volume of Kabuki, put them ALL on your Christmas list! I am still blown away by the depth in every image as they tell stories Mack's words guide you through. I have been fortunate enough to have read parts of the Kabuki series and own a few Reflections comic books (which is something else you might want to buy for a friend or loved one) and I must say, my state of mind has blossomed into a new level of insight just by reading these books. I wish I had more to say but, honestly.... David Mack's work speaks for itself. Here is the man behind Kabuki to give you a little insight on Kabuki himself, enjoy!

Rabbit Rundown (ep.9) with Dino Foxx of Yarn Dawgz

Dino Foxx. Such an extraordinary person. Dino and I met early in 2011. We were discussing the backdrop Blu and I were collaborating on for the Push Pens set. Dino.. well he was making us laugh throughout the entire project! His stories are moving, his voice is beautiful, and his confidence allows him to rock the Mic on stage better than any theater junkie I know! So as you can tell, Dino quickly became someone I admire but, that happened when he introduced me to Yarn Dawgz! Now if you haven't heard of the Yarn Dawgz, take a moment to open another tab and search for them on Facebook or Google! Trust me, you will be blown away.. I know I was. I spent most of my high school days reading juxtapoz and during one of these days I noticed yarn graffiti.. different styles and colors from all over the states! I used to dream about seeing something similar in person. I would wish my street posts were covered in yarn! Naturally.. when I noticed yarn graffiti in my home town, I felt soo inspired.. but when I found out Dino was apart of Yarn Dawgz and this entire yarn movement in San Antonio, I was overwhelmed with excitement. He told me stories about reactions from the community then ended the conversation by telling me how much he enjoys spreading joy with color in our community and that moment really touched my heart. As an artist I can admire this, but as a member of our community... I appreciate Dino's work more than any words can explain... If I ever feel like giving up on anything, I can take a walk around the King William district and remember that dreams come true. Yarn Dawgz are beautifying our streets and now you can pick up one of a kind pieces for your home! I am soo proud to bring you all this exclusive interview with Dino as he tells us all about Yarn Dawgz and their upcoming endeavors!
