As many of you may know, I am fortunate enough to be blesse with such amazing friends. One of these friends happens to be an amazing, FEMALE, radio DJ on one of my favorite college stations, KSYM! She plays the best soul, R&B, and all around feel good funk! The Nightlife gets me through my monday nights whether its been a long day at work, or about to have a long night on the town, Dallas really knows how to set the mood! I had the pleasure to accompany Dallas in the studio during her Whitney Houston tribute and I must say, after watching the way she works... I know why her show is so successful. Dallas is very intellegent and knows her music very weel. Diverse in both style and taste, she makes this show enjoyable for all! One thing I know for sure, my Monday nights are complete with the Nightlife!
To start off the month of February which I have dedicated to DJ's, I thought it would only be right to bring you all a few video clips of some of the amazing people I was able to share a couple of ideas and conversations with at Scratched Up. Plenty of Hip Hop heads began to fill VBar with a vibe like no other. You see, an online competition was held online a few months prior to this event and the top 4 were asked to compete head to head for the fourth and FINAL spot as the DJ of San Antonio's very own, SNEAKS UP! The four dj's competing were DJ QBASE (SATX), DJ TROUBLE (SATX), DJ TWIST (ATX), and The champion himself, DON SANTOS (HOUSTON). This was a battle like no other. Each DJ had something very unique about their style and definitely put on a great show! From b-boys and MC's to Sneaker Pimps and Street Gear designers, This place was packed with Hip Hop culture. I was fortunate enough to catch up with 3 intellegent and inspiring guys:
KUIW.org is the station to listen to EVERY Sunday from 2-4pm. Joseph plays the best Hip Hop and has some really cool guests on his show that usually keep you laughing throughout the entire show! Not only is he a radio DJ but, Joseph also owns his own clothing line (Joseph Silvas Clothing). He is studying at Incarnate Word and has so much knowledge.. I had to get a few words of advice from him, hope you all dig it!
Norm of Sneaks UP Sneaks Up comes around every April and with a guy like Norm behind it, you know it is going to be a fun time! All of the events he is attached to always have the best cultural experience Hip Hop in San Antonio can offer. This guy is funny and smart, no wonder he is so successful in accomplishing his goals.
Aaron, CEO and Founder of Face of Fame Face of Fame is a clothing line you may have seen alot from. This line represents doing anything for what you love, in fact one of the quotes they have is "what would you riot for?" Here is a bit from Aaron about doing what you love no matter what.

Recently I had a contest where I asked my social network community to send some feedback my way by selecting two images the preferred to see on hair clips I was designing.
